Whether this is your first time attending or you’re returning to expand your skills, this class offers something for everyone. New participants will learn the foundations of sourdough, including how to make and care for your own starter, “feed” it at home, and use it to create beautiful boules of artisanal sourdough bread—all possible in a home oven. Returning participants will enjoy an exciting new focus as Nancy introduces recipes and techniques for sourdough sandwich bread, pizza, focaccia, and even sweet applications like cinnamon rolls, cakes and cookies. Throughout the workshop, Nancy will cover the benefits of baking with a sourdough leaven, helpful tools to have on hand, and—of course—provide plenty of samples to enjoy.
