Whether this is your first time attending or you’re returning to expand your skills, this class offers something for everyone. New participants will learn the foundations of sourdough, including how to make and care for your own starter, “feed” it at home, and use it to create beautiful boules of artisanal sourdough bread—all possible in a home oven. Returning participants will enjoy an exciting new focus as Nancy introduces recipes and techniques for sourdough sandwich bread, pizza, focaccia, and even sweet applications like cinnamon rolls, cakes and cookies. Throughout the workshop, Nancy will cover the benefits of baking with a sourdough leaven, helpful tools to have on hand, and—of course—provide plenty of samples to enjoy. Come join us for this first sourdough class of 2026 and take your baking to the next level! $45 -- All supplies/materials are included in the cost of the workshop. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a moss-wrapped kokedama using a Phalaenopsis orchid, inspired by traditional Japanese garden techniques. Layered with natural moss, decorative stone, and a small companion plant, this arrangement offers an easy way to refresh your space while winter lingers. Your finished arrangement is displayed in a grey-toned clay bowl, ideal for styling on a table, shelf, or countertop. All materials are included, along with simple care guidance to help your arrangement thrive. $60 -- This is a hands on workshop. All supplies/materials are included in the cost of the workshop. The workshop includes one 3" Double Orchid (shades will vary), a 2" terrarium plant, moss, decorative rock, string and a clay bowl. Classes Have Limited Space Available.     Date + Time: Saturday, January 31st, 2026  |  9:00-11:00am Instructor: Whitney Olson Come and learn the art of flower pressing and design from local botanical artist, Whitney Olsen! In this hands-on workshop you will begin by learning the techniques of flower pressing, trying it out for yourself with a selection of fresh blooms to press in a workshop supplied book press,  you will get to take home and use season after season. Following the flower pressing demonstration, you will then learn the art of pressed flower design with detailed techniques, instruction, and supplies for making your own 5x5 framed botanical wall hanging. $80 --All supplies/materials are included in the cost of the workshop. You will receive your own set of previously pressed flowers, a frame, glue, and tweezers for the wall hanging portion of the workshop and freshly cut blooms along with a book press for the pressing section of the workshop.  PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately due to material costs & popularity of the class, cancellations after January 24th cannot be refunded.
