Return Policy

It is our hope that you’ll be completely satisfied with your purchase at Sun River Gardens. We will give thoughtful consideration to your request for a return, exchange, or credit of our products.  Sun River Gardens accepts returns on all non-plant related goods and plant goods within 30 days of purchase as long as the item(s) are accompanied by an original receipt and in “non-altered” condition.

Full Refund:  To qualify for a full refund of the good(s) you are returning, please bring the item back to Sun River Gardens within 24 hours from the original date of purchase.

In-Store Credit:  If returning an item after 24 hours, in-store credit will be issued for the amount paid at the time of purchase.

Note: Merchandise without an original receipt or proof of purchase is not able to be returned. Chemical based products and plant remedy supplies such as fertilizers, sprays, etc. are not returnable once opened. All clearance items 25% and over are deemed final sale and no guarantees or returns will be offered. Any purchases that use Garden Rewards are considered final sale. Seasonal Christmas Merchandise and Gift are non refundable and non-returnable past the date of Dec. 15th. Guarantees are not offered to those that receive landscaper discounts. Please see below for exceptions regarding special orders, living arrangements, furniture and to view our plant guarantees.

Special Orders/Custom Living Arrangements: Special ordered items in sizes, colors, quantities, styles, or varieties not normally stocked may not be returned. We encourage our customers to carefully consider their needs before placing special orders; please note that all special orders require a 50% non-refundable pre-payment prior to ordering. All Final Sale – no returns or exchanges.

Non-Custom Living Arrangements: These arrangements are seasonal and have a limited blooming period.  Because of this, returns must be made by the end of the following business day and in non-altered condition.

 

Furniture: All furniture items purchased at full price can be returned within 30 days for a store credit of the merchandise cost. Furniture must be returned in like-new condition. Returns should be made in the original packaging and materials, when possible.

Vehicle Loading: We are happy to assist in loading purchases into vehicles. It is important that customers review their invoices or make sure that they have received all items purchased. In addition, customers should inspect the manner in which the items are loaded before leaving the nursery. Sun River Gardens will not be responsible for damaged or broken items once the customer has left the nursery.

It is our mission to ensure that our customers are completely happy with their Sun River Gardens purchases and it is our sincere hope that our customers will utilize good judgment and a spirit of fairness before requesting to return purchases.  **Sun River Gardens reserves the right to make the final judgment as to the appropriateness of a return.

Return Policy For Shipped Items

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If it isn’t what you were expecting or you changed your mind, please send full price items back within 30 days of your purchase date. All sale items are final sale. Items must be in their original condition

To start a return please reach out to info@sunrivergardens.com with your order or invoice #. Once return has been approved further instructions will be emailed to you.

Please include your invoice or order confirmation inside your return package. Shipping charges are nonrefundable and return shipping charges are your responsibility. We recommend when shipping back a return, you use an insured, trackable shipping option. If you live locally returns can be made in store within 30 days from the date of purchase.

PLANT GUARANTEE

It is our greatest hope that you are successful with your tree, shrub, perennial, or houseplant. We ask that you take extra care with your living plants as they are perishable and subject to variable conditions such as weather, transportation, soil quality, watering, and positioning in your garden. At the time of sale we guarantee that our plants are in a healthy vigorous condition that with proper planting and care will experience optimum growth,

To maximize your success with our plants, trees, and shrubs, prior to the time of purchase, please see one of our Nursery Specialists or refer to our planting and watering guideline sheets for more information. If there is any indication of a problem or concern, please call us for diagnosis and instruction.

Sun River Gardens fully guarantees certain plant material for replacement or store credit. Please see specific plant guarantees listed below. If your guaranteed plant does not survive, please return it together with your original sales receipt to our customer service desk. We cannot offer a guarantee on any plant material without proof of purchase. This is a one-time replacement only and replacement plants will carry no guarantee. A second plant failing in the same location is an indication of a larger problem beyond our control. If we are out of stock on the replacement plant, a nursery store credit will be issued. Nursery store credit is only applicable towards live plants and cannot be used towards custom potted arrangements. Plant guarantees are non-transferable. 

ANNUALS

Seasonal color, herbs and vegetables are not guaranteed.

PERENNIALS

Up to 90 days from the original sales receipt. 100% store credit or replacement will be given.

ROSES

Up to 30 days from the date of the original sales receipt.  00% store credit or replacement will be given.

SHRUBS

Up to 1 year from the date of the original sales receipt. 100% store credit or replacement will be given. If Sun River Gardens professional planting service planted the shrub, there is a 1 year guarantee on the plants and we will plant your replacement at no charge.

TREES

Up to 1 year from the date of the original sales receipt. 100% store credit or replacement will be given. If Sun River Gardens professional planting service planted the trees, there is a 5 year guarantee on the trees and we will plant your replacement at no charge. We do offer a 5 year guarantee for trees purchased at full retail price. Please speak with a Nursery Associate to find out how your tree can qualify.

GREENHOUSE PLANTS

Blooming plants and small green foliage plants 2”- 6” in size do not hold a guarantee. Air plants (tillandsia) are not guaranteed. Large tropical trees and plants 8” size or greater will be guaranteed up to 30 days from the date on the original sales receipt. 100% store credit or replacement will be given. This includes citrus plants. We are unable to offer a guarantee on the following: Bonsai, Orchids, Live Christmas Trees, fresh cut Christmas trees, evergreens purchased in December and custom potted arrangements.

Sun River Gardens is unable to extend plant guarantees or store credit to the following reasons:

  • Trees, shrubs, or perennials not installed according to our planting instructions.
  • Trees, shrubs, or perennials that have been left in the original container or planted into another container and not into the ground.
  • Damage or mortality due to circumstances beyond our control — including watering, weather, machinery, animals, insects, or neglect.
  • Trees, shrubs, or perennials planted outside their recommended hardiness zone or not winter-protected according to our instructions. 
  • If a plant still has live buds and green tissue.

** Sun River Gardens may at its discretion, terminate, alter, limit, or modify it’s Plant Warranty Policy and Return Policy including rules, regulations, terms and conditions, or benefits at any time without notice. **
