Workshop Host:
Tonya LeMone of Sun River Gardens
Workshop Description:
As we move ahead into autumn, we’ve planned to extend the garden season a little bit longer with this fresh take on a fall planter that will last through the season and beyond. For this fall-specific container look, we will be using our iron sphere hanging basket along with a mixture of outdoor cool-season, hardy plants – Dryopteris fern, cabbage, pansies, grasses. We’ve also added a few wispy birch branches to complete this seasonal look. Our basket can be hung in your entryway, placed in a planter or saucer on the ground or simply set on an outdoor table. These plants will thrive with partial to full sun and daily watering in fall weather. As we move into the holidays, feel free to leave the plants or repot and change out your basket for freshly cut evergreen boughs, holly, etc.
