Experience the happiness of eating what you grow not only in the summer but throughout the winter as well. In this class we will explore the many different ways of preserving what you grow - Canning, freezing, freeze-drying, dehydrating, cold storage and even using a root cellar. You can do all of it or just some of it but it’s easier than you think; it takes care of all those tomatoes and cucumbers in wonderful ways; the varieties and flavors of what you preserve yourself cannot be duplicated; the benefit of knowing what’s in your jars and what’s not in your jars (chemicals, dyes, and pesticides) brings peace and better health. That’s a lot to think about! Samples, recipes and how-to demonstrations provided. Did you know there is a pickle for every size of cucumber you grow? Come and learn. $45 — Recipes and Samples Included
